Busy Term 4
There has been so much going on this term and the children have been working hard. They are loving our scary narratives unit and they will soon have a piece of published work. Look out for their writing on here soon.

Gratitude Prayers
This term we are studying How our Body Works. Within our RE unit we are looking at the sacredness of everything around us, which includes the gift of our body.
The children have written some lovely prayers which are here for you to reflect on.

I feel grateful for my heart because it helps me to love.
When I do beautiful art I think of the beautiful nature
around me.
All around me I can see all the gifts from God and I feel
grateful for my leg muscles so I can play soccer with strong muscles. When I go on stage I thank God for my talent
to do that. All around me I can see the
wonder of God.
Kaitlyn
I feel grateful for being able to do tricks with my tongue. I feel grateful for being able to write at
school. I feel grateful for my brain
because it helps me think at school. I
feel grateful for my bones because they help my body stay srong.
I feel grateful for my talking ability so I can talk to my
friends. I am grateful for my eyes so I
can see where I am going.
All around me I am grateful for the nature because the
wonder sounds make me feel happy.

I am grateful for my body because I am flexible. When I am doing funny faces I feel grateful
for my skin because I can stretch it.
All around me I can feel good things about my body. I feel grateful for my body because it is a
gift from God.
When I am singing I feel grateful for my voice. All around me I see God in my body so I feel

I feel grateful for my skills because when I do a backflip
ariel I’m using my skills which are a gift from God so I thank God for my
talents.
I feel grateful for my fitness because when I run a long way
I am using my fitness. All around me I
can run along paths so I thank God for my gift of fitness.

I feel grateful for my laugh because it makes me and others
happy. When I look at flowers it makes
me remember God. I am grateful for my
heart also because I would not be alive.
When I smile I am glad I have a mouth.
I am grateful for my glasses because they help me read and write. All around me I can feel love.

I feel grateful for my voice because it helps me to talk to
people. When I do a cartwheel I feel
grateful for my legs because it helps to get me stronger. All around me I can see the beautiful see
so I thank God for my gift of seeing.

I feel grateful for my braveness because it gives me the
power to go on stage and act something in front of a lot of people. When I sing I feel good because God gave me a
voice to talk and sing.
All around me I can hear animals barking and neighing so I
thank God for animals. I feel grateful
when I run because it tells me that I am flexible enough to do lots of
tricks. When I taste food I feel
grateful that I have a mouth. All around
me I can smell yummy food so I thank God that I have a nose.

I feel grateful for my body because I can do lots of cool
things. When I climb on the climbing
wall I feel happy for my muscles because it makes me strong. All around me I can see all the plants
growing so I thank God for the gift of seeing.
I feel grateful for my speed because I can run. When I play netball I thank God for making

splits I thank God for my legs because if I didn’t have them I wouldn’t be able
to do the splits.

machine for ten minutes at 5 km per hour.
When I climb at school on the climbing wall I thank God for
